Travel in the high Himalaya carries inherent risk. Altitude sickness, road closures, landslides, flight cancellations and sudden weather changes are normal features of the region rather than exceptions.
We plan conservatively, carry oxygen and first aid in every vehicle, and employ drivers and guides who know these roads in every season. We cannot, however, guarantee that any particular pass will be open, that any wildlife will be sighted, or that flights into Leh and Srinagar will operate on schedule.
